GEF at Kazcomak 2025: Celebrating 30 Years of Industry Excellence
As a translation agency with extensive experience in the mining sector, GEF couldn’t miss the landmark 30th anniversary of Mining & Metals Central Asia, held September 17-19, 2025, in Almaty.
This year’s exhibition was truly impressive in scale and significance. The event brought together over 6,300 visitors and 515 companies from 30 countries across four pavilions and an extensive outdoor area. The expansion into the new Pavilion 8 reflected a remarkable 22% growth in participation compared to the previous year, underscoring the mining industry’s continued dynamism in Central Asia.
What made this anniversary event particularly memorable was not just the cutting-edge equipment and innovative technologies on display, but the vibrant atmosphere of collaboration and knowledge exchange. Our team engaged in numerous insightful conversations with industry representatives, from established international manufacturers to emerging market players. The diversity of exhibitors—ranging from major players like Sandvik Mining and Epiroc to first-time participants exploring the Kazakh market—created a truly dynamic networking environment.
The business program was equally enriching, featuring 13 specialized sessions with 56 speakers addressing critical topics such as technological innovation, international partnerships, and sustainable development in the mining sector. Discussions on AI-based solutions, critical minerals supply chains, and market entry strategies provided valuable insights into the industry’s future direction.
As language professionals deeply embedded in the mining sector, we recognize that effective communication is the foundation of successful international partnerships. Events like Mining & Metals Central Asia remind us why we’re passionate about bridging language barriers in this vital industry—because every conversation, every technical specification, and every business agreement matters.
We look forward to continuing our support of the mining community and seeing how the innovations and partnerships forged at this anniversary event will shape the sector’s future.
